Speakers Bureau

Master Gardener Speakers Bureau
Horticulture Presentations in Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren Counties.

Do You Need a Speaker?

VCE Master Gardeners are available to speak to garden clubs, businesses, libraries, civic groups, and other community organizations on a wide range of home-gardening topics.

Please see our Speakers Bureau Brochure for a current list of topics and other details. It is also available in image format below.

Speaker presentations are based on research-based and environmentally-sound horticulture practices and principles, running from 20 – 45 minutes long, and with time for Q&A. If requested, some presentations may be adapted to allow for more participation with interactive activities or to cater to certain audiences (e.g. youth).

VCE Master Gardeners do not charge a fee for speaking, however, an honorarium from your organization will help NSVMGA continue its community education efforts.

Checks should be made out to Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardeners Association with the speaker’s name in the memo line.

Ready to Arrange a Speaker? Complete the below form at least two weeks before the speaker is needed. One of our members will follow up to arrange a speaker for your group.

All requests are dependent upon speaker availability. If you have a specific request other than those shown, let us know below, and we’ll try to find someone able to speak to the subject.

Extension Master Gardeners are volunteer educators who work within their communities to encourage and promote environmentally sound horticulture practices through sustainable landscape management, education, and training.

As an educational program of Virginia Cooperative Extension, Extension Master Gardeners bring the resources of Virginia’s land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University, to the people of the Commonwealth.

Virginia Cooperative Extension is a partnership of Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and local governments, and is an equal opportunity employer. For the full non-discrimination statement, please visit ext.vt.edu/accessibility.
