NSVMGA sponsors a variety of programs in Clarke County, Virginia, including…

Blandy Garden Fair Information Booth – Extension Master Gardeners join this event during Mother’s Day weekend. They can answer your home gardening questions or tell you more about the plants you just bought!  Learn more.

Blandy Community Garden Teaching Garden – Extension Master Gardeners lead hands-on teaching of various groups while designing, planning, and installing the seasonal garden bed.

Chet Hobert Park Xeriscape Garden – Extension Master Gardeners are onhand throughout the season to discuss the values of importance of xeriscape gardening while they oversee planting, mulching, and pruning. You can also find current NSVMGA events posted on the bulletin board. 

Clarke County Fair – Extension Master Gardeners staff an information booth throughout the annual Clarke County Fair. They answer homeowners questions about gardening and share information about the VCE Master Gardener program.

Seed Exchange at Blandy  – Extension Master Gardeners prepare thousands of packets of seed to swap at this annual event the last Saturday of January. This free seed exchange and educational event is co-sponsored with the Friends of the State Arboretum at Blandy. The 2021 Seed Exchange has been canceled due to COVID-19.
