Garden Tour

June 26, 2021, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., Rain or Shine

The Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardener Association is pleased to present our first Gardening in the Valley Tour. This year, we will feature five uniquely different and spectacular gardens in Shenandoah County. Each one will provide ideas that gardening enthusiasts of all levels can replicate in their own gardens.

Master Gardeners will be on-site at each garden to point out educational features, and an information table staffed by Master Gardeners will be at several locations to answer your gardening questions.

Featured Gardens

  • Edinburg Mill Biofiltration Garden (214 S. Main St., Edinburg)
  • Country Farm (5 miles west of Edinburg)
  • Monarchs on Meadow (1.5 miles west of I-81, Woodstock Exit)
  • In-Town Yard (Downtown Woodstock)
  • Veatch’s Gleann Arboretum (17 miles west of I-81, Strasburg Exit)

Tickets

Tickets will be $10 purchased online in advance and $12 on the day of the tour. Advance tickets will go on sale in late April. To limit face-to-face contact, tickets will be sold at just one or two sites on the day of the tour.

2021 Beneficiary

Proceeds from the 2021 Gardening in the Valley Tour will benefit construction of a Peace Pavilion at Corhaven Graveyard.

COVID Precautions

We are committed to following safety precautions in place by the State of Virginia and Virginia Cooperative Extension at the time of the tour, including requiring masks, providing sanitizer, and maintaining social distance. All of the gardens selected are large enough for guests to spread out and enjoy the outdoors without close contact with people not in their group.
